Description After my sociology class, I learned a lot about how American citizens were somewhat tricked into supporting the Iraq war. Fear was put into them by the Bush Administrations announcements that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. This was conveyed numerous times on mainstream media such as Fox News and CNN. So both factors alone had influenced the thoughts and beliefs of how Americans viewed the war. All in all, there were no weapons of mass destruction but tons of soldiers and innocent Iraqi civilians had and still are dying.

Now, of course, I feel this is very wrong but this is only a matter of my political opinion. Some of you may have different thoughts and I have nothing against it if you do. This artwork is merely a way I wanted to convey my own personal feelings and opinions about the war by making a kinda of ironic replica of the statue of iowa jima.

Either way, I hope all together you enjoy the work no matter how scary and sad it may appear to be.

You might want to do some research of your own. History of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq does NOT begin with the Bush Admin. You might wish to look up hundreds of quotes by Democrats during the Clinton admin, also, which make the same claim.

yeah... i already know that there has been a history of weapons of mass destruction in iraq before the bush administration. i learned it all in sociology. the weapons were eventually destroyed later on but there is evidence that they did exist.

The thing is, I felt, that there should maybe have been more research in finding whether these weapons were destroyed or not before going into war. From my knowledge, I don't think we went to war until the bush administration. That's what I meant by the art and the detailed caption. And I'm sorry if you misinterpreted
