**Might be a spoiler if you haven't seen "The Last of the Time Lords."Well, the Doctor defeated the Master as usual but did so in such a way my jaw literally dropped.
He forgave him and gave him a hug. That is probably the first time in history I have ever seen a hero/villian encounter end like that. I mean, I thought it was rather cute, showing that the 10th Doctor has a lot of strength to be able to suppress his anger with forgiveness. But I was hoping for a battle between good Time Lord and bad.
Surely, the 9th Doctor wouldn't approve of so much hugging and all that. Unlike the 10th Doctor, he isn't that forgiving and would rather kick his enemies butts than be that friendly to them.
So, to get to the point, I came up with this idea. Hope you likey.

9th Doctor was my favorite because he was the Post-Time War Doctor, and he had the most interesting transition from being torn apart, to being healed. Once he finished his journey, a new one had to happen, so he had to become the 10th Doctor to do that. But 9th will *always* be my favorite.

I think its unfair that people diss the ninth doctor so much. He was a good doctor, if a bit different and out of character, but he was my first doctor, so I admire him for nostalgic reasons...

Alright, despite the episode you decribed as being one of my favorites, showing the difference, between the doctors and their different, personalities, I like this piece a lot. You portrayed all the characters beautifully. To be fair, it wasn't my favorite episode I lied, the one preceding it wasd my favorite I liked the ending, and even the hugging, but seriuosly, emotions? they defeated the Master's ultimate plan? seriously? telepathic emotions? "thinking of the doctor"? really.
Like the piece, sorry for the rant.

When I saw that scene I imagined how it might have looked if the Third Doctor and the original Master had done it. And it just looked so very wrong. But I disliked Simm's version of the Master immensenly.
Cool pic though. I like the 10th doc but I wish the 9th had at least one more season. I liked him a lot and 13 episodes just doesn't seem enough.

I loved that episode, the Doctor was so little and interesting looking. That had to hurt though, for the Master, to be utterly defeated, to have his plans of a glorious and eternal Empire smashed from reality, just to be hugged and forgiven, that had to sting

It was definitely a great part. I personally like 10 better than 9. Finding a peaceful solution that will satisfy both sides really is the best way to go, but he isn't afraid to use force when he absolutely has to. Also, hes adorable and hilarious. Molto Bene! XD
