Description
So I really dig the concept of Scooby Doo Apocalypse but the major design changes had me a little upset (mostly on Shaggy and Velma). So I redesigned the cover keeping old and new but trying to stay true to traditional design.Let me know what you think.

Well done, this is a great pic. I didn't mind Shaggy's redesign too much although the hipster beard and mustache was a bit too much in my opinion and I'm not too keen on their new version of Velma. I'm kind of of two minds about SDA. The concept sounds interesting enough but I can't help but think that DC has kind of missed out on a good oppertunity with this. I personally would have much preferred a Scooby Doo comic actually set in the DCU. I mean imagine it: Mystery Inc going around solving impossible crimes in the DCU and occassionally bumping into the likes of heroes such as Superman and Wonder Woman and villains like Lex Luthor and Joker. I know that DC heroes and villains pop up every now then in the Scooby Doo Where Are You? comic, but those are more cartoonish versions of those characters where as actually having them in the main DC continuity and fleshing out the characters would make for a really cool comic.

That actually sounds like a good idea. I know DC did make Scooby Doo Team Up comics where they met other characters including Wonderwoman and Batman but they were like the show... very kid friendly. Even the art in those comics were very plain and a bit lazy which made the comics unappealing. If they fleshed out the story like you mentioned and improved the art style it would certainly make for an amazing series. Hopefully DC can do this in the future but in the meantime there's always our fanart

Can't say I'm a fan of "Hipster Shaggy" and "Youngster Velma" they've got in the new comic. Then again, the gang's been through so many different incarnations/spin-offs, that I guess I might as well how it goes. On the plus-side, we're finally getting the apocalyptic-themed scooby series that we've been shouting for.
