Like I said, I love it dude, one of the best I've ever seen done, also the added glow to the crystal and the fact that the fur patterning is identical to my actual fursona (minus the blue coloring) shocked me, that was quite thoughtful on your part

I actually didn't see your character sheet until I was about halfway done with picture 3. I tried to go back and change the pattern to match. I originally tried to add the blue fur, but it didn't look as good, since I was adding it in after it was pretty much finished, and I'd already merged some layers together.

Well, at its most basic it's a lot of layers in Photoshop, each with a layer mask for blending. For this one in particular, I used the Levels slider (and Hue/Saturation somewhat) to get the coloration right, Clone Stamp to move some shadows around and take out the original head that showed through, and Puppet Warp (CS5 and up only) on a separate layer to reshape the pants a little to make it look a little more like a digitigrade stance. The nails/claws were done with Liquify, and the glowing amulet was a circular gradient. For the fur, I highly recommend ~hitsuji16 's excellent tutorial here - [link] . There's probably better ways to do some of that, but I've never taken any lessons or anything, so I'm kinda making it up as I go.

Quite a bit, really. The version I have cost about 600 US dollars (or would have, if I didn't get it from a hand-me-down computer from my brother the actual artist), but versions with fewer of the high-end features go for around a hundred or so.
