Alduin is scary. There is no doubt about that, what makes him great though, is how he's scary in the way that makes you think, "I must kill him!"
Rather than scary in the way that makes you run away and hide in the deepest hole you can find.

But i guess when you have mehrunes' razor he's a crapload easier (that is if the razor decides to kills in one strike)

I was waaaay too low level and very much unprepared when I first faced him on the Throat of the World. I think I was still in plate steel at that point.

But going into Skuldafn and taking out all the draugrs was the hardest part :<

Skuldafn is awful. I usually end up resorting to sneaking and sniping, because I can't take them in the open.

Exactlly what i did sneak and snipe, if they found me I just ran till i got into the temple (ruins?) and drink an invisiblitey potion or two just in case they followed me inside

Biggest complaint about Skyrim. Alduin is too easy of a boss. Would it have been that hard to give him some kind of leveling system to ensure that he was always just a little bit out of your league?

I tackled him at far too low a level and on Expert difficulty. I needed every helping hand I could get.

to be fair, im level 65 and playing on normal, but still, i found them totally unnecessary as i didnt dind him any harder than a regular dragon, in fact, ancients and elders are much harder than him

Yeah, at the time of the first battle, I was level 20-something. At the time of the second one, I was high 30s. Needless to say it was tough.

But Ancient Dragons are certainly much more difficult than Alduin. I wouldn't say Elders are. I can two-shot an Elder Dragon with m bow at level 65.
