Description I love Portal and can't wait for part two.

To pass the time until it's released I'm thinking about painting my webcam in GLaDOS Curiosity Core design.
To see it it will be worth trying, I tried out what it could look like with GIMP. Since I'm happy with how it came out, I'll probably give it a try.

Update:
Work in Progress
Finished webcam

Hope you like it!
Cheers,
Q-Rai

I took mine apart then makes it easier to paint the shell in pieces and cover the lense too with masking tape , i used some car spray so that i didn't get any Brush Strokes , but you can use acrylic with a basic Air brush.
But yeah it'l be sexy looking none the less o3o

I used Blue Tack to cover the lense - it worked perfectly (I actually planned on masking tape but then couldn't find it ). Since I don't have an airbrush (and don't know anyone who does, either), I had to use brushes to paint it. You can see it a little but it looks nice anyway

I'm kinda scared I'll break it if I take it apart (it's pretty new..) I'll be using brushes but I hope it will look nice anyway
Thanks, I'm hope you're right!

If you prepare the surface correctly (aka, wipe over with metho, lol)

Use games workshop paint. Actually any modeling paint. Since you're painting on plastic it should be ideal. Give it a go.

I could only get acrylic paints, but I think it came out quite nicely

I think I could possibly have the paint, but I haven't used that since 11th grade due to not having any art classes >>

I actually had to buy suitable paint today. I do have nice crayons, water colour, colour pencils etc but I never actually used acrylic Can't wait to try them out!
It's awesome you actually got to use such things in art class! (we only ever used cheap water colour and pencils)

Depends. High school art classes are different, I learned about oil paints in that class >>
