I'm trying to learn to colour better so have a little thing of Pinkamina coming to visit. Ironically, her tail probably turned out the best but the rest of her lower body was crap. Oh well! Ended up doing it anyway!I somehow got my cousin to read Cupcakes today. She doesn't even like MLP. I straight out told her not to read it, too.
So yeah, anyway. Colouring through a lack of ideas.

Well if you're still up for it, all you have to do to be able to make it available as a print it is to click the button to edit your deviation, from there you can change the category you submitted it as from fanart to, say, digital art, then it will let you offer prints of your work.

and after cupcakes I'm not sure you will see many (if any) scary games featuring anyone else other than Pinkie. Although, if someone tried hard enough I bet they could make a good scary game featuring Discord and the creative use of his powers.

Story of the Blanks is an absolutely awesome game.
I feel like any of the mane cast could be good serial killers. Fluttershy could need to get more food for her animals, or diversify or something. Rarity could need ponies to try on her dresses, and basically mummify them with clothing. Twilight could easily just go around performing whatever sorts of horrific black magic she wanted. Applejack could either do the old fashioned slasher way and just lure ponies out to the orchards and use em as fertalizer, or tell ponies horrific 'truths' to make them commit suicide. Rainbow...okay, I've got nothing. (Sorry if this is me kind of blabbering.)
And I'm not creative. But all I see is Pinkie Pie everywhere. Discord would be pretty cool as a villain in a scary game though. He could get into all sorts of mind games with them. And yeah, Amnesia ponies would be cool.

no it's the way I DO the cell shading that's awful XD
I can easily do it with a hard brush.... but it looks better if you do it with layers and colors
and so I need at least 5 layers if not more... >.>;
amd it's a pain in the ass.
I think it depends on the feel of the piece... sometimes you need the bold look rather than the more realistic and faded painted look... at least that's how it is for me.
some of my poeces just wouldn't be... right.... if I used painting rather than cell or vise-verssaa

Cell shading usually only takes me two or three layers at most.
Usualllly if I cell shade its because i'm feeling lazy and don't want to go through the trouble of making pretty pretty paintings ahoy.
But I know what ya mean.

that are hard because it uses a difficult technique.... and when it comes down to it I'd rather do all the shading on one layer with a painting than use two or three alone for the cell shading XDD /lazy

I usually use two or three for the different parts of shading, like her hair vs her skin. Like here I just have one layer for base colours then one for hair and one for skin.
I'm far too lazy to do anything really complicated though

Thats...impressive on one layer. Usually when I do my layers I make a base layer, then do all my colouring in other layers. By the time I'm done, I can turn off the base layer and it usually looks almost exactly the same. I just end up completely colouring over it....
