but yeah, the backstory is that the stars are being destroyed by energy harvesters that were built on their surfaces to keep the civilisations in the galaxy alive. The stargates were used to transport this energy to inhabited planets etc.

the stars start going out, and this is the last one in the "galaxy". It's turning into a red giant, and will eventually swallow up the stargate, which is sorta the symbol of civilisation. anyway. blahblahblah. Drawing C:
