Sometimes I felt so broken when I look at my body. There's a journey to accepting things that were originally considered to be broken, and perhaps even finding beauty in it.Hopefully one day...

You know, Quinni, first off, this is beautiful- amazing. Secondly, I deeply sympathize with this longing at what we know is imperfect. I would recommend you to the book of John in the Bible. If this Jesus is who he said He is, then we can rejoice that not only our souls but all things will be made good and new one day. Keep creating beautiful things.

Hey, if you're talking about scars... seriously, don't worry about it. Even if they're huge and you find them 'grotesque' and 'disgusting', they really aren't. As long as you body functions and your body parts are not completely disfigured, it doesn't really make a difference in the way other people perceive you

Oooooh man this hit me. I've been dealing with an injury and the resulting life changes for just over two years now. I'm already so tired of it. Thank you for this, sometimes i need to remind myself i am beautiful with my flaws. This helped

I believe scars show how much luck we had and how strong we were to survive, so they're definitely something to be proud of.

I'm following your art for quite a while now and always hoped the best for you, when you shared the information of another sugery.
I honestly hope the future will hold much brightness for you!
I've been through a lot of sugery myself and I know what an awful feeling it is to feel like a stranger in your own body.
That feeling never really disappeared, but with the years it got much easier.
At the end of the day I wouldn't want to miss any experience, cause they make me who I am.
I wish the very best for you.

At least it's a comfort that in the future, when all is said and done. Those scars and marks will have a different meaning and memories of surviving...but sadly I can say that I would never want to wish away time, for within those moments becomes a part of you till the end of days.

anytime something happens to change our body it takes time for us to become reacquainted wit our bodies again and that is alright, after all our bodies are as personal as it can possibly become for us.
Just remember, it all takes time and that everyday you get to see yourself, is another day you are alive with your loved ones.

the scars can be a sign of a past who can give us the force to looking the things in a new way and also remember to us who we are, that's what i think after living 14 years with a scar in the left hand that reminds me what and who i am

I can relate to that. I've had an accident with a car 19 years ago which left me with an injured shoulder (+ scars) and a ugly scar on the left foreleg (+ missing muscles), where the car hit. For years I've looked at my leg as "that nasty reminder everything is different now" . Then last year I met someone with who I could talk to, and then I started thinking when looking at my leg : "it's not your fault after all, you poor thing" .

This really speaks to me too, had several big surgery and now i have a lot of trouble dealing with my new "broken body" :/
