I'm very excited to log on here after such a long time and see two features of this picture and several positive comments about our little local rally stage.

Since posting that image, I have raced full speed on this stage 3 times (and once at 1/4 speed limping the car to the finish!)

I'm glad you like my picture of the best rally stage in the united states. Thanks for featuring it!

I drove my Saab on the stage several times before and after the rally. It is a very cool road. It is interesting that Karl Jardevall owns the course record on this course, and his navigator used to navigate for a gal who's husband owns the Brooklyn Tavern at the end of the stage.

yea i guy i welded with was a logger, and worked out there. He REALLY knows how to drive logging roads, and at one of the races he passed a bunch of marshells on a gravel road hahaha. I'm not kidding though, hes better than half the drivers that race lol. Probably cause hes been driving those roads since he was 15, and now hes like 40.

It's not hard to drive faster than the drivers at a club rally, but remember, they are trying to finish

A running joke with my friends is when you do a slightly crazy driving maneuver, you say 'woah, we got a little club rally there for a second'

yea i noticed the club rally guys going pretty slow lol. like i used to think it was insane before i got my license, but since i live out in this stuff i just go "uhm i drove in going faster" hahaha

Thats exactly how I feel!

The thing is your not trying to finish 200 miles of log roads during a 3 day event, and all you have is your friends pick up full of parts instead of a real trailer with a pit crew.

actually im a full time college student, and i dont tell people when i go out, and its my only car we take stage notes on microsoft map Beta and run through at full rally speeds in my everyday driver haha actually i haven't done that yet in the subaru, and i doubt i will, but i did it in my 800$ jetta quite a few times. Never wrecked but came close twice. eek..

I've wrecked two cars doing it, and destroyed several others slowly. We would just do it without course notes, and often without reconnaissance

I'm going to get back into 35mm stuff. My canon AE-1 with the 50mm f/1.8 FD lens takes amazing pictures. Like this one [link]
