Description I have a lot of projects Ive been working on this summer and their all finishing up nicely!

This is one of them a model of a new type of Star Destroyer. This is inspired by a mod I use to play on SW: Empire at war. It had a star ship similar to this one and I based the design off an old screen shot I had of the ship. Still have a lot left to do on it but this is the basic design. I like it so far!!

Tell me what you think good or bad? Suggestions? Like I said its still a WIP.

Hello:

I know this is an old pic, but I think you made that design justice... I even thought (before reading the description) that you made the model seen in that mod .

Maybe, someday, I'd like to try my own version of it too .

Praetor class Star Dreadnought, very powerful, very VERY nice.

Very nice. It shares values from the early concept art for the Imperious/Imperial Class Star Wars and the later designed Imperious and Pallaeon design

Did you look up much reference to do this, or did you go out on a creative limb? If it's the latter, then you've done a remarkable job staying in the Imperial design vein

looks like the hull of the victory class enlargened and a new superstructure built on top

It looks like the, ah, what was it, Praetor, which I think is in the mod your talking about. (though I've never played it). This ship I believe. [link]

Yea lol sure is. ITs a good program especially with the V-Ray plugin you can create some great renders. Its about the only program I can wrap my head around. Ive tried 3ds max, lightwave, and maya but there is just too much of a learning curve and I cant find a good tutorial.

What exactly is blender? Is that a technique or a program? Im not so up to date on my terminology lol.

It's good. To me the front need to be more detailed. Because it doesn't fit in with all the details in the middle. Other then that, very good.
What program do you use?

I used google sketchup to model it just because its so so easy to use. Then used a plugin called V-Ray to render it.

Thanks for the comment glad you like it so far and thanks for the suggestion!
