The Apple Family has been making automail for the pass 50 years, they have had a long history of being farmers in Amestris. But Granny Smith sold the farm awhile back and decided to focus completely on the craft. Since them they have earned a big reputation for being the best automail makers in the eastern region of Amestris, gaining the respect and envy of others. Apple Jack has been quite the automail mechanic herself, taking great pride in her work and making sure she makes her family happy and earn a good living.

Her brother moved with his wife to South City, where he opened up an automail branch there. AJ is a little envious of her brother being so close to rush valley, that she hopes to visit them soon, albeit with a slight detour.
