I love finding old cars that seem to have been forgotten by the rest of the world. I like to try and picture what they had been doing before they were left to rust.

And I really love the warm colors in this shot. Awesome.

Me too, it's wild to thin that this was once brand new and shiny, sitting on a dealers lot, someone looked and found it, decided it was what they wanted, and paid good money for it, then they would drive it home with all sorts of pride and a smile, it was their pride and joy, it was new, perfect and loved. only years later and often many owners after did it end up like this.

I wish this 46 ford was not crushed, I tried so hard to save it too... but at least I saved this [link]

That's so funny, I never even noticed that on the door till you mentioned it, too bad this truck was destroyed, and believe me I tried very hard to save it, but at least I was able to save my 59 Chevrolet Suburban limo from there.

[link] (I'm 6 foot 2, so you can see how big this thing is!) [link] But as a car guy I love my 1931 Pontiac [link] and my uber rare 1946 Ford Glass-top bus, it's the only one left in existance! (if you any interest and want to see what kind of isane amounts of work we tend to do here check it out!) [link]

I saw the link. Man, I'm not a big car person but even I'm fascinated by that. And yes, that thing is huge. I'm only 5ft 3" so I'd look like a hobbit standing beside that thing.

I also think it's interesting how you zoom into certain parts of the car. It makes some very cool compositions.

Thanks!

I don't often use my zoom, I tend to get all contorted and close to get some of my shots so that they are of a higher resolution.

I miss my 35mm Canon though, I have a telephoto lens for it that makes a lot fo the nature shots really beautiful! (it was stolen as far as I know)

....LOL...Hobbit!

My mum jokes about being hobbitesk, she is also a member here

No sorry, just the 2 shots, I had no time to do a lot of this sort of thing, this truck was on the hill above my giant suburban I was picking up, so I was a little busy.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Swanee3 In reply to QuanticChaos1000 [2008-08-23 02:02:14 +0000 UTC]

ya i noticed it in one of the shots, that's how i was able to judge where you found the suburban and where you stored it.

I love that style of truck, I have a 1946 Ford Bus like it [link] and here in Canada there was a Mercury version of the Ford trucks from 1944 to 1972!

Me too, and I love the odd and unusual cars and trucks out there, I just bought a 1959 Chevrolet Suburban that is stretched and has 4 doors on the passenger side of it, I can hardly wait to start on it!
