Yay! As most of you know, I'm attending a 3D animation school right now, and this is the first character I've modeled! Done in Softimage (XSI), completely poly-modeled. It's not amazing, but I like it.Gargoyles is teh awesome.

that's too bad. It's a really beautiful piece of work. I was looking for Dimona. When I came across it and couldn't believe that it's a CGI moral. However it's that close to the original Disney cartoon model. Very nice work.

Nice topology mate. WAY better than my first model. My only crit is you really need to sculpt his pectorals more and could do with some proper texture maps (get a bump or nomla map and a specular map on it) and it would look awesome!

I totally agree! This was my first real attempt so we hadn't learned a lot of that stuff yet. And now I don't do a lot of computer modeling so I can't be bothered to update him now haha. Maybe a real sculpture though...

Well, I appreciate the comment and the suggestions. Please bear in mind that this was only my very first 3D model, and I'm still learning. Also, muscles are fairly difficult for beginners to poly-model (that is, without the help of a sculpting program like zbrush or mudbox), and I'm still working on my anatomy. I was following this great artist's concept art here [link] and as you can see, his waist and wings are fairly small.
I won't be making any changes to my actual model, as I am thoroughly ready to move on and try something new. "Artwork is never finished, it is abandoned."
All in all though, I see you points, and I'll think about your advice when I start my next model. One point of criticism for you, however, is that you may want to try coming off as a little less abrasive in your critiques. Try to also include in your comment something that you think is working well in the artwork, as well as the points you think need some work. Constructive criticism is meant to help an artist along on their way to greatness, not just point out what's wrong.

Sure, a lot of things are good, the face, the feet etc.
