In January, I had a small housewarming party with a few close friends in attendance. I've worked in the past both with Julia Chew and with Ricky Lindsay. They are both designers and incredible people, and I definitely count them as friends. While they both design under a very fairytale aesthetic, they had concidentally never met in person before. So, when they finally met each other at my party, they didn't actually leave my house until far after everybody else, they sat there and talked about anything and everything under the moon when it comes to inspirations and fashion and designing. We decided we really needed to make something together and since I've photographed Julia before (in her own designs), we thought it would be fun to have her model Ricky's new dresses. Talk about a fairytale of a shoot! This kind of collaboration is definitely my thing, and was completely exhilirating. With three creative likeminded people together, you really can't go wrong!
