I've had this done for months but I totally forgot to post it whoops

Some time ago, there were two families: the Pearls and the Daisies.
The Pearl family consisted of Freshwater Pearl and Lionus Pearl, and their two daughters and one son, Cloudy Pearl, Destiny Pearl, and Conan Pearl.
The Daisy family was Hark Daisy, Vinegretta Daisy, and their four sons, Romano Daisy, Copperfeild Daisy, Golden Duck Daisy, and Harmen Daisy.
Cloudy Pearl and Romano Daisy had been best friends since they were kids. They spent almost every day together, helping each other do chores, exploring the forests around their farms, and just being kids. Romano had had a crush on Cloudy for years, but Cloudy had never picked up on it, even though it was very obvious.
When she was eighteen, Cloudy found herself pregnant, and her father, Lionus, was not happy. He swore to get revenge on the sicko that did this to his daughter, despite her insistence that she hadn't been violated. He confronted Romano, certain that he was the one who'd gotten her pregnant, but the colt swore he had no idea what Lionus was talking about. In a fit of rage, Lionus shot Romano, killing him on the spot. When he realized the horrible thing he'd done, he turned himself in to the authorities, and was sentenced to life in prison.
The murder of Romano drove a wedge between the families, and made the Daisies absolutely despise the Pearls.
Months later, tragedy struck again. Just a few days after Cloudy gave birth, her foal disappeared. Nopony knew where it had gone, or who could have taken it, but the Pearls instantly placed blame on the Daisies. The feud between the families grew more intense, and the foal was never found.
Today, the granddaughter of Freshwater and Lionus, Sweetheart Symphony, is trying to ignore her family's hatred of the Daisies-- mainly because her (and her husband's) neighbor is one of their descendants. Whenever Sweetheart's grandmother comes to visit, she'll go on and on about how cruel and monstrous they are, even when the neighboring family can obviously hear her. Sweetheart and her husband are actually friends with the couple next door, and they're very nice ponies.
Said couple, Buckwheat and Velveteen, have one son, Tumbleweed Tangle, who is best friends with Sweetheart and Turquoise Twister's son, Red Moon. Nevertheless, the older members of their families still hate each other.
Eventually, the obvious animosity between their great grandparents leads the kids to do some digging, and they end up discovering the truth about the disappearance of Cloudy Pearl's baby.

Some flavor text for background ponies! They really don't fit at all into the main story, so they're basically just a sidequest.
