Hey guys! I'm back with another post! Now I know, it's a closed species, but I will have adoptables out soon!

Here's the info about the species! (except Harmogust. Harmogust will be coming out soon!)

Species: Fernogust
Subspecies (species closely related): Jewel Heart slug (not available yet);
Element: Fire/Air (If either one of the related elementals are ghouled, the Fernogust will become ghoul, despite having a second element)
Rarity: Ultra Rare (the species was nearly wiped out and had to escape to the four Caverns. Was once a very common slug within the Eastern caverns, but now are found as rare slugs in Sunset and Sunrise Caverns and extremely rare slugs in the Midnight and Twilight Caverns)
Habitat: volcanoes, hot springs, high nesting places in hot climates, (sometimes found in forests near hot springs or in canyons like Arachna cavern in hot summer droughts)
Description of Species: colors- pumpkin orange, ember red, vermillion, carmine, gold, grey, silver, black, (shades ranging from darker colors to lighter for each color, examples will be shown!)
Protoform Ability: can breathe fire to light candles and small fires, can fly
Ability: able to create a variety of different sized fire tornadoes with giant wings and spew fire in different forms. Each form and/or size of flame and tornado depends on level of skill. (Fire Breath and small tornadoes are Novice level; slightly defined Fire streams and medium tornadoes are Fledgling level; defined Fire streams and large tornadoes are adept level; fire balls and longer lasting and/or medium flaming tornadoes are expert level; double shot fire balls or super defined Fire streams (can't have both) and large flaming tornadoes are Mastery level; Lava breath is Hero level; triple shot fireballs are legendary level)
Attacks: Flarebreath: the Fernogust breathes a burst of fiery hot breath to char their opponents; Flarestream: the Fernogust breathes a defined, ray like stream of fire for an easily amiable linear attack; Gustaway: the Fernogust creates a tornado with its enormous wings; Burnadoes: the Fernogust creates a Gustaway of pure oxygen and setting it on fire with their flaming wings to do twice as much damage; Fernoblasts: The Fernogust spews fiery balls of flame at their opponent to do a more explosive attack
Protoform ability: they are able to fly for a short time and breath little puffs of flame and spew smoke (the more experienced ones may set themselves on fire, but not for very long)

Fusion Shots: (Currently known)
FernoBoom - Power/Elements: Fire/Earth - “Fernogust + Blastipede” - Creates burning blue bombs that explode on contact unless set off before then by will. It was used to help defeat the Hooligang on the day Gloria challenged them to a trick and talent show, the winner taking over Quietlong cavern and the loser exiled and never to return.
ShardStorm - Power/Elements: Fire/Earth - “Fernogust + Geoshard” - Creates a storm filled with small shards of crystals to either knock around opponent or plant crystals into the ground to make them grow larger.
ShadowGust - Power/Elements: Energy/Fire (psychic/shadow + fire/air) - “Negashade + Fernogust” - slugs fuse together to create a darker, shadowclan like creature that spews dark clouds of gas that it can shape into storms that can trail black fire. Creature can also spew willo’wisps to haunt and burn opponents.

Other important info: Fly in flocks and will “migrate” if the cavern they currently inhabit is lacking the food, water, and shelter nessacary for survival and fly to somewhere that can suit they’re needs. They are not fond of cold climates and prefer for climates with a temperature of 90 degrees or above. Were one of the first of the normal fire and air element slugs.
Fernogusts are loyal and trusting and won’t leave their slinger’s side unless they feel the slinger is not right for them or committed to keeping them healthy and excersised. If the slinger goes against the Fernogust’s beliefs in any way, the Fernogust will most likely leave and find o new slinger or join the rest of its kind.
The Fernogust must be well fed and excersised regularly to maintain a healthy state and must be well treated and cared for for them to keep a consistent strength of attacks in battle. The Fernogust must be fed at least once everyday and excersised every three to four days to maintain a good health and average attack damage.
The mating habits of this species of slugs are quite intriguing. The average Fernogust with have a litter of a minimum of one or two, the max amount can be four to five. The Fernogust will mate in the spring and the summer and will give birth either in the summer or the fall. Males will have flying and fire breathing contests to show off to the females to be selected as a mate. The males would jump off of high ledges to hit velocity to show their power and energy. Females will usually go for the males with desire traits. If they want to have a mate with more firepower than air, they will look for powerful fire moves, and air moves for air. The females will then send off little puffs of smoke and chirp for the male they approve of, then it is up to the males to accept their approval to complete the match. If one of the males is a Silvergust, most females will go nuts for the males approval and the male will then have to chose a mate. Fernogusts will rarely break up after the match is complete, and will only break up if they feel the relationship was not meant to be and wil search for a lifelong partner.
Each individual Fernogust can be more of one of the inherited elements than the other (ex. One can be more of the air element than the fire, resulting in stronger air moves than fire moves, and vice versa). Those that are more air then fire element are descendants of the great Silvergusts that used to be as rare as the Crystalyd or the Frightgeist slug.

Silvergusts: It is rare, but the occasional Albino Fernogust, also known as a Silvergust, will be born every 200 years or so. The Silvergust is a Fernoogust but with powerful air type moves, and once enough experience is obtained, they are able to create a vortex portal to the Slugvoid (if ghouled, they create a vortex portal to places of Dark energy like the Deep Caverns). The Silvergust used to be born more often when the Fernogusts were still common, but became rarer and rarer over the many millennias until they were almost impossible to find. The only info of the long lost slugs were found in cave carvings throughout the many known caverns, all except the Eastern and the 99 caverns.
