Good work, the colours are great and her eyes are really expressive (well her whole face is, but her eyes in particular) Her pose and the background are both very nice and simple.
Her left arm seems a bit thick to me, even with the arm warmers. The neck may be a bit long too but otherwise this is a really great piece.

I think the thing is that I started the colors before adding the line work, so they're more worked over than what I normally do, and there is much less line work in the image ... or something like that.

Every thing on this is great. The one suggestion that I could make is to create a deeper cast shadow under her neck from her chin. It'll help to make it look like her neck is going back and it won't be so flat in that area.
Your attention to this character and her quirks and outfit is fantastic. I love how you colored it.

I love it when deviants draw other deviants' characters. It makes me feel deviantish. And deviantistic. It's great.
All in all, the experiment is a total success. The character looks real and full of life, while her clothes and background are more iconic and geometric, which creates a nice mix of styles.

Even if I can't put it in words .. I thought it looked a bit different than your other works before even reading your description.
And yes, I think it turned out quite nice. Colours are smoother than usual .. or is it just me? Hmm, dunno ..

The colors DO seem more smooth. For this one, instead of tracing the rough sketch onto a piece of "finishing paper," inking that, and then adding the color; I chose instead to add the color first.

I love all the little details in this - the tattoos, the hair, the clothes - and the colors overall just make me happy. I adore this. :3

Damn, this is crazy good. The whole thing is wonderful, but a few details that really stick out for me: I love the shoulder tattoos. The way you've really used to blend things in here and elsewhere on the figure is outstanding. Another example is the textured stripes in the 'sleeves'. I also really like those little ringlets in the hair. The freckles are really great, as well.
Just an all-around nice piece. Great work!
