Introducing the all new, all improved Twilight Hour. Bent on stopping an insane angel from destroying the world, this new breed of unlikely heros takes up the torch of fighting evil across the world.Clockwise from the upper left:
Moraxis, a zombie bent on avenging his death ... and ladies.
Nariko, an Imortal who's secret past may threaten the team.
Shang, a drifting shifter searching for meaning in his existance.
Jericho, a vetran warrior who's attitude is as dangerous as his training.

Unfortunately Moraxis has been moved from main cast to part of the support staff, more of a character the team will come across at some point. Moraxis is increadibly useful, especially when you need a human sized bullet shield. Other than that, he's pretty much wraped up in is vendetta, making him hard to get ahold of. Shang is another character that has been put on the bench for pretty much the same reasons.
Jericho is all attitude 
As for the placement. I set this up with a kind of "S" layout. The viewer's eye starts (idealy) in the upper right with the demon, then follows Moraxis down through Nariko into Shang and then resting on Jericho. I find it best to start with a basic idea of how I want the viewer's eye to travel through the image, and then working from there.
To keep the people proportionate, I would suggest doing rough outlines or stick figures first. Making sure that the ovals for their heads are the appropirate sizes. I've found that once the head is in the right place and has the right size, the rest builds itself.

Wow, this is huge and intense. What happened to the other characters I know about? Are they still part of the picture or are they no longer involved? I love the character design for all of them, this is fantastic work. MAJOR INKING AND DETAIL O DOOM going on here. HOLY SHMAHOOLIES.

Their particular setting was over 100 years ago (victorian era), they're still floating around, just not being used as fervantly at the moment

He's a watchdog, set to keep Sharde from excaping while his master devises a way of removing the sigil from her without destroying it. He needs the sigil to open the third of the nine gates, and get that much closer to bringing the earth to armageddon
