I found this trilobite from the Antelope Springs, Drum Mountains of UT, USA. it's a new species of the "all too cool for you" trilobite, Altiocculus. this trilobite is a rarity, coming from the same place as all those elrathia kingi, altiocculus harrisi and asaphiscus wheeleri you see floating around. it is from the middle-cambrian. although it lost it's librigenas (possibly due to molting), the trilobite is still looking good after it almost snapped in two when found. the trilobite is 1" long.


this trilobite is not found like this! it had been sent to a special preparer who cleans up the fossil find. here is a link to the fresh look when it was found: [link]
