Description A background! Not a good one, but still, a background!
So yeah...This isn't that good at all
I totally failed at any kind of contrast, and the background is a total mess.
Oh well, next time maybe.

Don't know the level you were shooting for, but it looks like a million bucks to me.

Thank you!
I always try my best, but this doesn't feel like the best I can do.
That's why I'm not happy with it.

The only limits you have are the ones you impose on yourself.

True, but it's not really limiting me, just making me try harder.
And there are pics I've drawn that I like, so it's no big deal
This just wasn't one of them

AWW WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?? D: XD XD This is amazing!
Well... the only thing I can think of is to darken the background to make the elk stand out more XP I mean, the woods could be dark and mysterious... right?
^^ <3

Aww thanks! although it's far from amazing...
You're right. I even tried making it dark, but I kinda failed miserably
Someday I'll get the hang of it! And then there will be dark creepy woods!

YES. LONG LIVE THE DARK CREEPY WOODS.
Where would fantasy be without them??

This is beautiful! I love the contrast of the solid outlines and the softer details like the fur, I've always been a fan of that kind of style. I like the background too, by the way

Thank you!
I see. Personally I think the whole picture is kinda unclear, and
that the elk and the background blend too much together at some places .
But glad that you like it

Hm, I don't think blending is necessarily bad, makes the elk look more like it belongs there...
