Description Cora, the main character from my Hordes of the Underdark fanfiction, 'Calling of the Blood'. [link] I took down my old picture as this is getting much closer to how I see her.

I don't feel like copying out the old character sheet, but she's a Tanar'ri tiefling who passes for human when fully clothed. Fighter but has learned a small amount of magic. Adopted by a paladin after his wife miscarried, the decision was made not to tell her what she might be (they cannot be 100% certain anyway, never having met her parents). When the story begins, she still doesn't know. As the Seer says to Valen, he is unlikely to meet a more human tiefling - but will she stay that way?

Unlike with many fanfic characters, I did not roleplay the game with a similar character concept for the PC before writing the story. Cora came about after I wondered what would happen if the heroine of Hordes of the Underdark was a tiefling like Valen. At that time tiefling protagonists were uncommon and elves seemed to be in fashion. In turn other questions were sparked in my mind, a background began to emerge and a new character was born.

Rendered in DAZ3d using the V4 model altered with FaceShopLoader to make her look less generic. She *should* have claws, what she's got right now is black fingernails which don't show up very well in this anyway. The cool background is a freebie from AerySoul. [link]

Finding any form of female armour that wasn't of 'chainmail bikini' nature proved challenging, but it would have been incredibly out of character to put her in something skimpy. This is someone who's only starting to get used to walking around without her gloves on. She's been brought up to feel self-conscious about her body and the hints of her heritage hidden under clothing were seen by her as abnormalities.

In the end I used a Magus tunic with a leather texture laid on it, and a vest underneath.

Nice picture. I like it better than the older one. I really should read on... if only I could take my computer into the train, the bathroom and into my bed, like my books...
Really, that picture makes me hungry for your story again.
