Description
PLEASE COMMENT!Name: Fenris Zyuk
Species: Human
Age: 48
Planet of birth: Corulag
Hair color: Dark with grey highlights
Eye color: Grey
Affiliation: Galactic Empire
Rank: Admiral
Fenris Zyuk is believed to be one of the most cruel and amoral officers in the Imperial Army. A calculate Fleet and Field Admiral, unlike most other officers (which he himself describes as "bureaucrats cowardly hiding in the safety and comfort of an ISD bridge"), he engages the enemy on the field with his troops. An old wound to his leg dating from the last days of the Clone Wars forces him to use a cane to move, but once on the field, one Bacta shot is enough to forget the pain and focus on the battle at hand. And he's damn near unstoppable like that.
Relationship with the Jedi Renegade
For reasons unknown, Zyuk holds a grudge against the Renegade ever since they "ran" (more than litterally) into one another on Malastare a few years after the end of the Clone Wars. His only few known defeats have for the most part happened at the hands of the bounty hunter while trying unsuccessfully to pursue him. Capturing and/or killing the Renegade has become a real obsession for Zyuk, resulting in murderous impulses whenever someone mentioned the bounty hunter's name.
Personal quote
"The Emperor himself once told me he wished he had ten officers like me in the Imperial Military. It was the day I had cold-bloodedly slain an entire village of Dug men, women and children covering the escape of a fugitive from an Imperial prison on Malastare.
...It was the most beautiful day in my life."
Attributes
-Driven by a rage towards the Jedi Renegade so strong that killing him has become his ultimate purpose in life
-Remorse and mercy are totally absent from his mind
-Disturbing disregard for any life-form whatsoever
-His brilliant strategic mind added to his cold-heartedness make him an unpredictable and lethally dangerous foe to whoever he's after
Behind the scenes
Well, long story short, it's been a real bliss imagining and designing this character and his way of thinking. I'd always found it annoying that most Imperial officers seen in the films and elsewhere were cowardly run-aways, and thinking of Admiral Thrawn, I thought to myself: "Well, apparently, they were not all like that." And this was how Admiral Zyuk was born. To sum it up, Zyuk acts as the Renegade's harsh enemy in the comic.
Fun fact
I tried to make him into a subtle mix of the G-Man (Half-Life), Grand Moff Tarkin (Star Wars, obviously
Just for the record, I was listening to this while making this picture.
...
What? Why are you looking at me like that?
Next one on my list is a very badass-looking stormtrooper. With custom armor. And a sniper rifle.

So lemme get this straight...you thought this up?! This is so original, and so official sounding that I had to ask. Furthermore, I'm impressed at your artistic skills--as I was with Sigma One-Twelve. You should deff do more of these--there isn't anything like them here on dA. My highest regards,
~matthew

Partially. :S To sum things up, this guy is like a big mix of several bad guys from diverse films and video games like Half-Life or James Cameron's Avatar.
And if these make you so enthusiast, wait till the comic comes out here on dA!

Echani where a race of warriors who's fighting styles where said to be near-dance like in grace. They made weapons called Vibroblades, which where very resistant to Lightsaber
The pipe wrench came into it when I mistook the cane of a pipe wrench

Right, now that you mention the dance-like fighting, I do believe I heard of them at some point, though I couldn't recall their name.

Thanks! And in unrelated news, I guess I should be able to get Boba Fett to make a lil' cameo, if that can be of any interest to you.

Oh, he's colourful!
And seems to be true bad guy, and that's great.
I mean such characters are not often met - at least I seldom meet them.) Mostly, they are spoiled by this or that.
And I like obsessed guys, yes.

That's JUST what I want people to think of him. Thanks a lot. And not to worry, he will have a lot of spotlight in the story.
So, you like obsessed men?
Then, you're gonna love me.

Yup-yup.)
Eee, want to see him in action.
Nya-ha-ha, sounds like a threat. Or like an offer. x)
Have just watched "Slaughter Your World" that you linked. A bit sadistic, but I believe it is just the thing to watch/listen to while creating such a character. xD

More like an offer, even though a little agressive. My little smiley here was supposed to remind Batman's words in The Dark Knight, don't know if you've seen it already? Either way, you understood the message.

Ooh, I'm a dumb idiot. x) Yes, I felt that it's something familiar, but didn't catch at once. Yeah, I've seen this film, it left me amazed. *.* But I watched it mostly in Russian, only once in English, so you see, the original dialogues are not my strong point.)
But mission complete offer accepted. xD

I dare to disagree with your first statement. You're not.
Obviously. 'Bout the whole seen-in-Russian thing. Now, I wonder what Christian Bale's Russian voice double sounds like... His French one sounds okay, but I don't know for the rest of the world.
And, uh... glad of your acceptance.

Mnn, thanks! You're a real man.) Though sometimes I need some self-criticism.)
You know.. it sounds strangely unhuman. xD Like he speaks out of a tunnel, plus growl. So it was really pissed off Batman. On the other hand, I think that Joker's double voice is quite good. Of course, not as Heath Ledger's, but differently good.
If not the smiley, it would sound somewhat not so confident.))

So, it's a General Grievous-like voice or something?
And when I thought Batman couldn't get any creepier...

VanessaManic In reply to Quinn-G [2010-04-26 19:52:26 +0000 UTC]
Well, maybe. xD
I suddenly thought - French has always seemed to be a soft and, well, pleasant language to me. I can't imagine Batman speaking it with that rough voice. oO

Well, I guess you should be able to find the French version of the trailer, so you can have a glimpse of what it sounds like. It even sounds right for Batman.

Nice job on the character design. His looks definitely go along with his description. His cold heartedness and determination definitely fits that of Grand Moff Tarkin. And lastly that quote just fits him perfectly.

Quinn-G In reply to patton360 [2010-04-26 06:59:18 +0000 UTC]
Well, it is explained at some point in the story that he was to be appointed Grand Moff, it's just that he was close second next to Tarkin on the insanity/amorality scale. But I'm not going to give any spoilers, of course.
Thanks for your comment!
