Name: Kip Koning
Height: 173 ft tall

Origin: First discovered in the 1600s on an island not to far off from Portugal by an anonymous Dutch explorer , Kip Koning were large creatures with a very small population. Due to their immense size they required much food which the island could verily supply any more. The explorer theorized that to avoid this in the past they went through long dormancies until the plants grew back all their fruits and leaves, but something was disturbing them from their slumber. Over time he studied the Kip Koning and their habits, how brightly colored males would dance for a females attention and fight others for it for example. What was truly extraordinary was their capability to breath extremely cold air at opponents, the explorer suspected that a series of gullets and gizzards super cooled the air they inhaled when threatened.

After many days of research the Explorer soon found out what the theorized disturbance was, massive earthquakes. It felt as if the island was going to tear its self apart, so he ran to his ship to escape, but not before he grabbed a couple of Kip Koning eggs for his research.

He left the now sinking island with its drowning inhabitants, holding the eggs in his bag. He wished to gain fame and fortune from his discovery, unfortunately fate had other plans. All thats left of the explorer was his journal, as it turns out Kip Koning young are quite hungry when they hatch, enough to eat a man...and their siblings. Its likely only one or two made it off the boat, found a place to grow and feed, and slept until they could feed again. It seems dinner time is here once more.
