Description
Similar to a black hole to a star, a ShatterJak is the result of the cataclysmic end of a God's life.

A God's life is spent absorbing engorged quantities of Psycho (thought/emotion/instinct) of a specific variety (hate, song, desire). Upon death the God's mind decays from the body. The body attempts to fill in the space with the Psycho the God had digested, making it an avatar of that energy. The body will bloat with all this power, then collapse and shift form until it's a creature of instinct and thinks with thousands of competeing minds.

This births a ShatterJak, a colossal draconian beast with hide as thick as a mountain and power as destructive as a volcano. Each one has significant morphological differences, but all start as a towering serpentine pupae, nibbling the roots of the awesomely tall Psycho Trees.
Over time they shift in shape and size, adapting to better feed on Psycho and fortify themselves from other ShatterJaks. The wood of the trees is converted into scales and spines.
As they age, the ocean of minds wrestling within it will soon e dominated by the strongest intellegence, giving the Shatterjak a true personality and consciousness.

Though content with staying in the Psycho rich poles of Lardomum, the most unstable of ShatterJaks will sprout wings and migrate in search of easier Psycho rich targets, such as mortal civilizations. Not even the Gods can easily hold back a hungry mature ShatterJak, all mortals can truly do is flee the oncoming storm.
