Everyone knew Cronus Ampora needed glasses.
Seriously, the guy couldn't see for shit. It was actually mildly amusing, watching him bump into things. But when he started mistaking Meulin for Porrim, everyone turned to you to get him glasses.
“Cronus, come over here.”
“Sorry, chief.” The seadweller apologized to a bookcase; and came and plopped himself next to you. You sighed.
“You really need glasses, you know.”
Cronus shrugged, looking at the blurred face of the girl in front of him. He had never really seen her face, and wondered if she was good-looking.
Who was he kidding, she had to be! I mean, her personality was great, so...
“Vwhat makes you think that, doll? I can see perfectly fine.” He waved at someone in the distance. “Meulin! Tell her I can see totally fine!”
Porrim simply looked at you and rolled her eyes. “Honey, get this poor troll some eyewear.”
You nodded.
“And please make it look good.”

The glasses shop wasn't far from the place you had dragged Cronus away from, which was a good thing, because having to go back and throw him in the car to drive him there would’ve been embarrassing.
“Gee, there sure are a hell of a lot of glasses in here.” He scratched his head thinking for a minute. “At least, I think there are.”
“Cronus, it’s an eyeglasses store. That’s what they sell. Glasses.”
“Vwell, that makes sense.”
“Okay, what type do you want? I think square frames would look goo-Cronus, jesus christ...” He had picked out a pair of hipster glasses immediately.
“Vwhat? I think they look good. They don’t help me see though...”
You shook your head. “That’s because they’re the wrong prescription, dork,” Luckily, Porrim had apparently tried to do this another time, and still had the prescription he needed and had given it to you. “I think you’re a 2.75, but you could be a 3.25 if your eyesight’s really that bad. Try on these.” You muttered, handing him a pair of rectangular-shaped square frames.
“Hmm...I can see.”
“No shit, Sherlock. Is everything sharp and clear?”
“Yeah, so should vwe-” You took them off of his face and took them to the counter. One glasses purchase later, you two were heading back to the others. You had the glasses in your hand, and Cronus had yet to see your face with his improved vision. He quietly wondered if you were really as pretty as he thought you were. I mean, of course he would still be flushed for you regardless, but he pictured you as beautiful.
“Do you want to wear these? I kinda kept them from you, sorry,” You chuckled, holding out the case to him. He blinked, then took it, slipping them on. “Well? How is it, actually seeing?” You said with a giggle.
He drank in your facial features, just in case he ever lost his glasses and couldn’t see them. Your soft-looking hair, your stunning eyes, your nose, your lips, your smile...he was right. You were beautiful.
“It’s vwonderful.”
“Oh, well then what’s making it so ‘vwonderful’, Cronus?” You giggled, trying to imitate the seadweller’s accent.
“You.”
“What?!”
He gently set a hand on your cheek, smiling softly. “You really are beautiful, inside and out.”
You were blushing profusely, which of course only worsened when he held your face in both hands and kissed you. Smiling, you kissed back for a while, until air became an annoying need for the both of you. “C’mon. I think ‘Meulin’ will be very happy with my choice of glasses.” His jaw went slack.
“Oh come on, _____!”
Laughing hysterically, you ran to find Porrim, your matesprit chasing after you.
