Description
Amongst the rocky, frozen canyon of the exoplanet is the most superior being of the landscape. Jake. He is an explorer that has acquired abilities and qualities that any human centuries ago would deem impossible or even supernatural. These qualities, in other words, make him a superhuman. In this sketch, he is exploring an unknown exoplanet in a hands-on manner.

Background:

Formally known as Jake Styles, he was born in 1996. He is one of the few humans that managed to survive humanity's worst hardships throughout the early and mid 21st century such as WW3, climate change, and economic collapses. He has no formal occupation or home since he explores at an interstellar scale. He, when traveling interstellarly, lives in a private spacecraft that he bought from Interstellar Incorporated: The Star Surfer which is slightly smaller than the DSRC: Astronavis. Though he doesn't have to follow the rules of organizations, since exploring is a hobby for him, he is still required to follow the laws of exploration by the United Federation of Solar Systems (UFSS): to not cause harm to any life found unless it's for self defense, to not directly interfere with any intelligent but primitive civilizations, to not create/use any battle weapons or WMD's aboard your ship via nano-fabricators, to keep contact with unintelligent life to a very minimal, to seal your whole body during planetary expeditions to prevent contamination of said planet, to use decontamination when boarding your shuttle or your primary ship, to report back the discovery of life on a planet and the discovery of intelligent civilizations that are below, at, near, or ahead of the human race in technological development, and to communicate humanity's intentions and presence peacefully when encountering a species that is the same or superior to the human race and to only be hostile if they are hostile first.

Jake's abilities:

Intelligence:

- Has an IQ of 500 (which on Earth in 2150, is just above average intelligence).
- Has a genetically enhanced brain that has the traits of the most genius and talented humans in history all in one which puts him in the three hundred range with the 500 being achieved through organic brain implants.
- Due to mainly his implants, he can perform ridiculously complex mathematics, predictions, and reasoning at near-instantaneous speeds, which varies depending on the situation he is in. Because of this, he can perform very accurate short-term precognition. For example, if he were put in a crisis situation like rescuing a person from a building that's on fire, he could predict how everything would turn out almost instantly: the most likely state of the interior structure of the building, how long it will have until ruin or collapse, how long it will take to rescue the person, the most likely place they are trapped in, etc.
- He is very quick at learning; if he could go to a university back in the past with no educational experience but with the same abilities, he could perform a bachelor's to PhD's worth of work in every field in hours by flying through all the textbooks or far less if he mentally connects to the internet.
- He can remember everything in his life in crystal clear detail but every once in a while he discards useless, obscure memories.
- He knows all humans languages, modern and ancient. He also knows many forms of communication through codes like Morse code or sign language and can even understand the basic pattern at which intelligent animals communicate.
- In comparison, average human intelligence in the early 21st century would be that of a cro-magnon or neanderthal. However, he does willingly dampen his cognitive abilities when he communicates with non-transhumans to make it socially comfortable for them.

Strength:

- Has genetically enhanced muscles infused with artificial muscles that are made of computerized carbon nanotubes.
- Has enhanced bones with nanotube protection that are designed to provide improved integrity without halting the flow of white blood cells; the bones themselves are so strong that only things like a high powered hydraulic press or diamond saw could destroy them.
- Because of his hybrid muscles, he has the strength to punch through many layers of concrete, throw a boiling ball at the speed of a high speed baseball, lift an early 21st century car with just two arms, bend a thick steel beam to breaking point, rip a small tree out of the ground, round house kick a telephone poll in half, and punch bullet proof glass hard enough to severely crack it.

- He can swim underwater at 12 mph (19.3 km/hr) for the same amount of time when running; this is mainly due to his muscle efficiency and the manner in which he swims: in a wave motion.

Personality:

- Due to his enhancements over his lifespan, his personality changed slightly but not completely since his increasing level of existence impacted his outlook on life. Originally, he was generally shy, had low confidence, and was afraid to make leaps/major life decisions but had major curiosity and was a deep thinker. As of now, he has very high curiosity and thinks at an even deeper level but is more tolerant of social interaction and has high confidence in his life but without getting overconfident. In terms of life decisions, he rarely makes them given that Earth and the human race are in a post-scarcity civilization and that exploring the unknown became his, as he believes, ultimate purpose.
- Despite his high intelligence, he can feel emotions at a level to balance his intellect, preventing him from becoming an emotionless, monotone biological 'computer'. However, emotions like anger, sadness, and hatred are something he rarely experiences due to his personality and intelligence which results in the use of rationality in a bad situation that would otherwise anger or bring down a normal human.
- He has enhanced creativity that allows him to, for example, create extremely out-of-the-box but beautiful artwork, making him a well-rounded superhuman.

Lifespan - He is biologically immortal because he has trillions of organic nano-robotics in his blood stream that halt the effects of aging during cell mitosis. Currently, he is 154 years old but looks 24.

Skin - His skin is genetically altered to where it can withstand melee attacks from the sharpest of blades, it can efficiently expel or hold in body heat depending on the temperature of the environment allowing him to have no trouble surviving in places like Death Valley or Antarctica, and, in the event of lack of food and water, it can take moister out of the air and can absorb surrounding materials to allow him to survive months without food and water. Also, his skin can allow him to survive the event of being exposed to a vacuum such as low earth orbit or interplanetary space which would only be a problem if it got to ultra high levels.

Throat - His throat is enhanced to handle sharp objects if, for example, he were forced to eat something like a cactus. Also, his vocal cords are enhanced to where he can mimic any kind of sound or voice perfectly and, for defense purposes, can shout loud enough to shatter the eardrums of normal humans or can broadcast ultrasound loud enough to drive primitive lifeforms insane.

Lungs - His lungs are, just like the rest of his body, enhanced through genetic alteration and cybernetics. His lungs can provide hours worth of oxygen in a single, calm breath. They can also filter out toxins in the atmosphere to where he can largely inhale deadly fumes like nerve gas and suffer no effects.

Heart - His heart is one of the few organs in his body that is completely cybernetic which is a major factor in his high stamina ability. It can pump to a maximum of 400 bpm, double that of a normal human during intense cardio exercise. However, this only occurs during a situation where Jake is in a fight-or-flight response which usually increases his strength beyond that of what was mentioned in the description of his strength but only temporarily due to blood vessel strain and excessive body heat. Since his body is ultra-efficient at transferring oxygen throughout the body, his normal heartbeat is 30-40 bpm.

Stomach - His stomach can expand to that of a normal human since excessive expansion would push against other organs. Therefore, he can consume something like pure alcohol or extremely addictive drugs without suffering any intoxication or addiction and can have the deadliest of poisons put in his body and not suffer any effects.

Immune system - Due to nanorobotics as well as an improved natural immune system, he is immune to any possible genetic, viral, or bacterial disease except for hostile polyextremophile bacteria or viruses that adapt quickly which would pose as a minimal problem to him since nanobots could at least quarantine it and flush it out of his body.

Healing Factor - Another thing the nanobots inside Jake are capable of doing is accelerating mitosis to heal wounds exetremely fast without creating genetic defects. As a result, Jake can recover from bullet wounds, even wounds from hollow points, in the timeframe of a dozen seconds and can even survive something as severe as decapitation, loss of limps, or the breaking of the spine.
