Very cool walk through! I was wondering, do you have an underlayer of just grayscale value, and then overlay with color? Or do you prefer doing base colors, then add value on other layers?

I don't do grayscale, but I don't very often add value through other layers either. It's mostly just me choosing a darker tone of the base and painting it right on there.

"Chandra " is my wife's name. She has that same thing going on with the hair, especially after I make her mad..... Oddly enough, it means " Moon" in Hindi ( I was told that anyway).Great work by the way!

Most of it is just one layer, or if I end up changing something (like the hue of the upper-torso) I'll create a multiple/hue/overlay and merge it right after.
The only thing that tends to stay as a separate layer are the highlights (Changes from step 4-5)
