Maybe? It depends on what I'm doing. Sometimes I don't at all, other times I do?

this is really awesome! but I kinda liked the face and hair in the step before last.. it had more emotions and impact than the final one.

Leah got asploded by impirius and no one really gave a shit. She was actually the most bland and least memorable characters from diablo 3. She herself had little to no character development. All we heard out of her was "uncle decard did this" or "uncle decard used to do that" she herself didn't really do stuff other than shooting lasers from her hands to do something needed to progress.

Thank you for featuring your process!
I'm still torn between a full digital process and a rendered scan to multiplied color layer technique which produces meh results. I've heard that going full digital makes one consider shape and tone at a much faster rate, but I can't shake the need to work with a huge piece of paper.

Really cool, I take it you use paint too sai?
It's a real shame you didn't really show how you created the fire.

I use openCanvas, the fire's just me painting with Linear Dodge and Overlay layers.

Do you just freehand the flames, or do you have some sort of trick for them?

Yea, freeeeehand. I know there's a lot of cool fire-brushes you can use in Photoshop butttt I just manually paint everything.

Totally jealous then. I don't have the best of luck creating convincing fire.
Thank you for sharing this, and for responding to my question!

"Pretty fast and casual-like"
I can see you went from sketch to sudden lineart halfway through the coloring~ XD

When it comes to painting, there really is no distinction for "lineart" It's just a matter of refining edgies/details that make it seem that way :]

You and your 'refining edgies/details', stop being so godly, you're making everyone else look bad! D8<
Lol, keep them coming Quirky, love your works~
