Its unfortunate that I couldn't jam all the characters into one illustration (for technical and time-saving reasons xP) but when narrowing it down to four I like to think Mario, Kirby, Pikachu and Link are the Nintendo staple boys.You've got the original plumber mascot, the pink side-scroller alternative, the giant Japanese parent-money-eating franchise, and the only pretty-boy-RPG that Nintendo has ever done right.
Anywho, SSB games are probably the best fighters ever concieved. There are "classics" like Street Fighter, KOF, Tekken etc. But in my opinion, nothing is quite as innovative and fun as the SSB franchise in the genre.
Mario, Kirby, Pikachu and Link belong to Nintendo

I can't believe that some websites put SSBB in the "Party Game" category! Sooner or later they're going to realize that not every fighting game has to be a two-player, health-gauge-operating, combo-dishing bloodfest!
Other than that, this picture is pretty sweet! I can't add anybody to my Brawl list yet, since I'm having my apartment re-painted.

Being a Smash Brothers fan since the very beginning of the franchise, this game is nothing but awesome but Im sure you already know that

Actually.. I was about to say something along the lines of what ~Strong-Rad said, but now I won't bother.
However I really enjoy the coloring style, and the details such a the blue following Kirby's scimitar/sword thing (not sure what it's called), and the electricity looks really great on Pikachu's cheeks. I also like the take on Pikachu's eyes.
I also think it interesting that all of those characters always look pretty much the same, except for Mario and Luigi, who always have quite a bit of variance between artists.

For some reason, I REALLY like the Link here. I think it's because there's actual emotion in his face. You'd be surprised at how infrequently one finds that. It's usually that token 'srsbsns' face he's got on in all his gameart snapshots, yanno?
