Its unfortunate that I couldn't jam all the characters into one illustration (for technical and time-saving reasons xP) but when narrowing it down to four I like to think Mario, Kirby, Pikachu and Link are the Nintendo staple boys.You've got the original plumber mascot, the pink side-scroller alternative, the giant Japanese parent-money-eating franchise, and the only pretty-boy-RPG that Nintendo has ever done right.
Anywho, SSB games are probably the best fighters ever concieved. There are "classics" like Street Fighter, KOF, Tekken etc. But in my opinion, nothing is quite as innovative and fun as the SSB franchise in the genre.
Mario, Kirby, Pikachu and Link belong to Nintendo

A beautifully detailed and classic piece of artwork;
That ties in with- I agree with you is my fave and truly awesome fighting game.
That can give you hours of random and enjoyable moments.
The position, the layout and design is practically telling me: 'Go now! And play'.
I love how each are detailed even the simplest such as Kirby.
I hope this means you will be taking part in the SSBB tourney at Ota this year, from the looks of it. >D

cooler than a polar bears toenails. link and pikachu are undoubtedly the best fighters for me. and you are right about F street fighter, tekken, etc. smash is the funnest fighting game ever cause it's not so much of a fight as it is a reason to get four people together for the ultimate reunion without the angst and competition. it's just a blast. great work!

*Sigh* Seeing this just makes my heart break. Just having the art itself and the fact that it's a BRAWL pic, just brings me to tears. Very nicely done!
On a side note, Samus could have been added since Metroid is one of the first initial Nintendo games such as LoZ and Super Mario Bros, as Kirby and Pikachu arrived later on in history. Just my opinion. XP

Pikachu FTW! He's the fastest and greatest character in the game. I mean, no one else can throw the other guy when that guy is on the ground, or in the air!
Not to mention, he can jump REALLY far if you time everything well.

I really <3 this style! It's very realistic and demonic. Everything is well done, except Pikachu's eyes could have been less 'hollow'. Otherwise great!
