Final project for my 'Figure Illustration' class. It's relatively large considering what I usually work with (16'x30'' inches, as opposed to 8.5'x11'' & 11'x17'' )Yea, it kinda sucks. D8

i really love some of the characters reaction... some a still pointing why wont they just run away, and one guy still poses or something and the guy below the "bottled' pigs is..... smiling? anyway nicely done

In general, I like the composition and idea, and even the way you handled the colours, but I agree with Lauren that the characters are a tad evenly spaced. Maybe even tossing some slightly darker cast shadows under the figures would help break it up? The foreground jar thing that's breaking could use some more shards flying out, too, as well as maybe a tad more highlight, especially if there's that much on the foreground guy's arm.
I like the way you handled the lighting otherwise; sorry I didn't really say so during crit. >.> *was mildly...unconscious*
Also, let me be the first to CONGRATULATE you on adding gore. It could almost use a little more IMO, but you know me. XD As to the comments of some other people on here...When will people stop holding gore against work? "The giant robot attacked the marketplace, but not a single person was injured, even by debris." Seriously.

I haven't commented on any of your work in awhile..
However I really like this peice as you've done an excellent job of showing the damage and chaos caused by the mecha.
I also thought you did a good job on making each character in the scene look unique - making the overall scene more absorbing and 3D.

Definitely no sucking action going on here! Amazing and very detailed piece full of action and um...panic I would say! I hate it when those mech bots come storming in when I'm going shopping! Most excellent work on this, you get an A+ from me!

It does NOT suck. I just think that it would have been better to see more than just headshots and people running away in fear. The little bit of the mother shielding her child? Awesome. I wanna see more of that, but showing the sacrifice.
All I'm saying is that there isn't enough gore and damage as far as rampaging machines go. I do like the lighting and the biotech (reminds me of Battle Angle Alita).
