little update on his look and history~

Name: Phelix

Birthday: November 17

Owner: Julius, it a 7 year old boy who was born from an unfit mother named Samantha. She had him at the age of 18 and being 18, she would go out and party or hang out with friends, leaving her mother to do all the work. After a year when Samantha turned 19, she just up and left home to go live with her boyfriend few states away. The family didn't even know till she called them once she got to the boyfriends house. Now it was just the sam's mother, Julius, and Samantha's two sisters, one being Ryoko. They knew that they could do a better job than Samantha. A year later, something has happened to Ry's grandmother, causing the grandmother to be transferred to where they lived so Ry's mother can take care of her. Seeing the stress her mother was going through, trying to take care of two beings, Ry offered to take care of Julius full time, who was now 2 years old. Gaining custody of the toddler, Ry moved out and into an apartment with Julius who has been living with her ever since.

Size: Normal size (Like Hamtaro size)

Personality: Phelix can be a bit stubborn and slightly self centered. As much as he tries not to, he tends to put his needs and feels first before others. Besides the point, he's rather a friendly guy who has a bit of a hard time admitting when he's wrong. He likes to be sarcastic, which can end up annoying the others when he uses it to much, but at times he doesn't realize that he's even doing it since he uses to it. He's also a bit of a flirt, and thinks that his "stache"will draw them in. His flirting can be seen as annoying and he's often reject, but he just thinks to himself that they need more time to think it over. When the tables are turned and he's the one being flirted on, he would get bashful and awfully nervous pretty quickly. When trying to cover up his blushing, he would pretend to wash his face.

History:(man this is long) Felix was born in a litter at the home of Kia, who was Julius' eight year old cousin. Phelix was somewhat the runt of the litter and was rather picked on by his siblings. His mother was no help either, she would praise the others for being tough and strong. When he got a bit older, he still didn't get much love from his family. He had to fight for food, for sleeping areas in the cage, for time on the wheel, and mostly everything else. Kia's mother told the girl that it would be best to give away the pups since she didn't think that Kia would be able to take care of all of them. Kia's mother suggest to give one of the hams to her cousin Julius who lived with her aunt Ryoko as a gift, thinking it'll be nice company. Choosing a random ham from the cage, she picked up Phelix (who was unnamed at the time) and put him in another cage she had previous.

Julius wasn't expecting a hamster, but gladly accepted the gift. Setting the cage on his desk, he and his aunt Ry stared at Phelix for awhile, just watching him scurrying around in the small cage. "You need a bigger cage little guy, some toys would do nicely, and the cage would have lots of tubes connected for you to run through." Ry said to Phelix with a light smiled, Julius nodded in agreement as he continued to happily watch his new pet. Phelix just tilted his head in confusion, not sure where he was or who these new humans were. She got up, telling Phelix that they would be back, and they left to the pet store. When they came home, Ry put the old cage Phelix was still in on the ground and placed a bran new colorful plastic cage on the desk. Julius lied on the floor and continued watching the ham."Like your new home, buddy?" He smiles. "You probably can't see it from down here though. I made sure we got the best there was!" After she finished setting up his cage, he was finally placed in his new home. Phelix was excited by how big it was and how it was all to himself! He would run back and forth from the second floor to the first, running on his wheel till it worn him out, stuff his cheeks with all the seeds he could manage to fit. He was enjoying his new life already. When he finally calmed down, Julius decided to remove him from his cage to get in some bonding time while the ham was still at his young stage. "Aww, I never knew you had a design that looks like a mustache." He gently pets him with his finger. "Bout time you get a name, huh?" Julius thought for a bit before looking at his aunt for help. "Hm..I usually can come up with names when I'm writing my books so this shouldn't be too hard. You should name him Phelix." She smiles. "Yeah! I like that name, and just to put a little fun spin on it, I'll spell it with a 'ph' rather than with an 'f'!" The boy said excitedly as he petted Phelix again. "Phelix huh? I guess I can get use to that." Phelix said in his mind as he enjoyed the boy's petting.

  It was quick for Julius to grow fond of his furry friend after a week has past. Phelix seemed to enjoy his new human pal, he never felt so much affection. Julius' aunt Ry has also got her inspiration back and decided to make a new book about Phelix. She called it 'Phelix the Great'. She would read to him and Julius her stories, which they both loved to hear when they were bored or when it was bedtime. Story time was Phelix's favorite bonding times, just a nice moment where he would curl up in his owner's palm and listen to a story about him. Ry noticed Phelix's interest in cloth, as he would rub himself against either Julius' or her shirts. She made him a small silk neckerchief, so he would always have something to rub his fur against when they were away. 2 months has passed and Ry realized that she wasn't getting enough money from her books, so luckily she managed to get a job as a vet assistant. She was one in the past, but decided to give it a break to work on books. Her new job though required her to move to another city. Living in an apartment means that packing wouldn't be so hard. Julius being on summer break meant that he wouldn't have to leave during the middle of the school, Julius was rather excited to go to a new city, maybe he and Phelix can make some friends.

  Once they made it to their new house after a week, Julius allowed Phelix to explore the new home. He trusted Phelix enough to not escape, but he would only let him out when he was with him. Sniffing on this and nibbling on that, Phelix was having a pretty fun time exploring. He would scratch at the wooden floor, the carpet, and the kitchen tiles. Sadly, it was back in the cage for him since Ry had to get to her job and Julius would have to go to an activity program that his new school held every summer for kids who can't be kept home alone while parents were away. With his cage already set up in Julius' room, he puts him back in it with a sad look on his face. "Aw..aunt Ry, are you sure I can't bring Phelix with me?" He asked with a frown on his face "Sorry but they don't allow pets there. Don't worry, I'll be back in a few hours to pick you up so you can Phelix can have fun as soon as possible, okay? I wish the tv was set up so at least he could watch it while we were gone." She giggled before they left the house. "Great..now I'm stuck in this cage for basically the whole day.." Phelix complained as he looked around his cage to find something to do. While climbing through one of his tubes, he noticed that Ry forgot to connect it to another tube. He was now able to leave the cage and explore the house more if he wanted to. Giving the air a couple of sniffs, he finally left the cage and into the world. Since Ry wasn't able to set up anything at the moment, his cage was on the ground, so he didn't need to find a way down. Phelix happily scurried around the home. He looked through rooms and opened boxes before settling himself on the window stile and watched the birds for awhile. "Man those birds are lucky..able to fly wherever they want and able to be outside without worrying much about danger.." Phelix sighed, always wanting to see what the outdoors was like.

  When he was finished exploring, Phelix headed back to his cage to take a nap, but he noticed something in another room he passed by. He walked in the room (which was the laundry room) and it still empty has exposed something that was rather interesting looking to Phelix. It was a small pipe hole in the wall at the bottom. It was too far from where the dryer and washer would be placed, so it's unknown why it's even here. "Hmm? Could this lead to another place in the house?" He asked himself before stiffing the hole a bit. He decided to crawl through it, he'll get a better understanding of where it led. It was rather easy to crawl through, but it was dark and had turns before going diagonally downwards. He spotted a gleam of light towards the bottom. "Guess this is where it ends.." Making it to the bottom, he realized that the light was sun light, and that the pipe led him outside. He's never been outside before, just saw it from the window, so this was all new to him.

  The outside world was just a step away. He hesitated for a bit before taking a deep breath and leaping onto the grass. "Whoa! This feels weird..way different from bedding" He said as he felt grass for the first time. "This place sure is big...but I, Phelix the Great sure isn't afraid." He said to give himself a confidence boost. Hesitating one more time, Phelix counted down from 3 before scampering off to view the new environment.

Hobbies: Digging, Phelix loves to dig~ Rather it's his bedding, dirt, snow, his food, or water(lol, wha?). He loves to get his claws moving, though it tends to cause a problem at home since it makes Ry's desk pretty messy with bedding. He also likes to collect small pieces different types of cloth like denim, felt, silk(his favorite), polyester cotton, whatever towels are made from

Likes: Getting out his cage, cloth (mainly silk), treats, wooden toys, the sunflowers that grow in the backyard, showing off, the books about him, dancing, cotton and other soft things~

Dislikes: His hamster ball, others making fun off his 'mustache' like pattern, being ignored, reptiles, little kids handling him(he will bite if he has to~)
