Thank you for your wonderful comments <3. If I were to continue, I would redo from scratch with much better quality, as it's been so long since I started and it was probably a whole graphic design degree AND half a french language course ago... I would also do designs that are less strictly Disney and tweaked a little for a blended realism, since I am using translated lyrics from another source after all. It would be an interesting project on the side!
I still adore these characters, and am more in love than ever with the Disney versions since their Broadway release, so it would be a pleasant return ^___^.

What I liked about your panels is that it looks like the early storyboard version Disney probably wanted to do but for the sake of the 'G' rating, had to curb back.

Oh yes, it's still being worked on.. I've just got two issues of my own comics to pump out right now, so I don't have much spare time for this. But it will be finished - it's just getting to the dramatic part!

The dialogue is not how I remember it XD (I watched only the french musical and read the subtitles), how different is the English version (in terms of dialogue)? The first panel is my favorite

It's like an awkward translation of the french at times, where they cram it in to fit the rhyme... sometimes it's really well done (Dance My Esmeralda), sometimes the translation is just totally unnecessarily different (Your Love Will Kill Me (what was wrong with 'you will destroy me'?? it fits!)).

Technically, it really is not rape if you are given a choice. She is of course being forced to choose. If I was Esmeralda I so would have bargained more. Demanded my people be set free, no more harm is to come to them. If Frollo wants her so bad he would consider those options. She could of course let him believe she would willingly choose him and then kill him when his guard is lowered....that is unless she ends up liking it anyway, lol!
