like the message but idk if lesbo an homo should be up there with all the honestly hateful/ignorant/stupid terms. imo they're really only offensive in an offensice context and intent. but i dont really have to deal with this type of oppression so i can't make any sort of ultimatums or "rules". either way i support the idea

I'm really sick of the hate, too... People even use words like that to describe something "bad" in general! Do they know that anytime they call someone a fag, they are using a term that was adopted by Nazis? YES, NAZIS! Originally, faggots were bundles of sticks. Then, during the Holocaust, Nazis surrounded homosexual men with the real faggots and burned them alive, hence the term as it is used today. Most people detest Nazis and what they did... Why are we using one of their negative terms? That'd be like calling a Jewish person a poisonous gas chamber.
That's what's been bugging me lately.

and coming out at my school was not a good thing, so many hated that, so many friends lost, and today i was even bullied because of it.

This is really beautiful; surprisingly simple yet elegant and clearly conveys the message.
Today, my best friend, who is also a girl, told me that she is a lesbian and loves me in a more than friendly way. I was incredibly proud of her and immensely flattered and this just puts the icing on the cake. Really great work and huge congrats on the daily deviation.

It never used to. It's just like how "gay" used to mean "happy" back in the old days. Labeling people by these older words makes it hard to use the original word the way it used to be used, ya know?

Well, keeping all respect for everyone's right to speak, I'll say that although I don't favor the... what seems to be hysteria over the whole issue, I do respect such people as fellow humans.
I do hate that things like the Wizard of Oz, the rainbow, and other such symbols were turned from their original meanings to mean some kind of gay secret code. >.>

Some of the font is invading the inner circle, and the quality is bad. The words are mashed too close together at the bottom and spread apart to much on the right side.
I'm a tran pan and I like the word fag. Someone calls me a fag, I laugh my ass off. It's hilarious because I know what it means and it's funny. Also twink, twink is funny but for completely different reasons.
Nice concept, but this is undeserving of a DD. Most of the DD's in general lately are undeserving of DD's.

Just a friendly reminder, artists have no say in matter for daily FEATURES (as that's what they are), it's in the hands of the one who chose to feature them. That's where the complaint should go, not to the artist. It's like stopping by someone else's page and seeing they have a whole list of people who they're featuring and there's one in the midst who's work you don't like so you tell the person that's being featured of which who's work you don't like that they have no business being featured...just because you don't like their work. Kinda silly when you think about it like that. 
This feature was done for concept or rather message, not quality, not beauty, just purely message to make people stop and think.

If I don't like a person's art and feel they don't deserve it, I have fucking right to tell them so. I have complained on several occasions about the horrid or subpar quality of what is supposed to be an award for excellence among a community of artists on several occasions. However just like I don't care what you think I have the right to say, neither does the staff.
Unfortunately this is an art piece that is being recognized as art, and it's not up to standards. The only reason at all that this picture seems to have received the award is because of it's message and not it's artistic qualities. This is an art website, not a damned charity campaign, if the art doesn't match the message it should not be featured. Simple as that.

Art in case you've forgotten is for the sake of expression, and that could be in many different ways.
If the only reason you would leave a comment on someone's work of which isn't liked, is to tell them how horrible you think it is, it's best then to just not say anything. Why? Well not because of someone like me per say standing up to you, but for the artists sake. Answer me this if you're so proud of your boldness: Would it in some way make a difference in your creativity or affect you deep down if some random person tore down your high/joy from getting a daily feature from this site with nothing but nasty negativity directed at your abilities and your work? Think before you speak hon. You personally don't ever appreciate it when someone tells you your work is terrible and picks it apart just to make themselves look or feel good, so don't do it to someone else, it doesn't help the problem.
I can tell you from my experience that a nasty comment like yours can either make or break an artist; in some people's case, make them stop doing creative things all together because of discouragement (and this is whether they want to admit the comment hurt or not). There's absolutely no excuse for tearing someone else down just to make yourself feel better or look good, or, in your case, because you've decided you have the right.
And for your information dear, the daily deviation features are not for excellence of quality exclusively, they are for the EXPOSURE of artists of all mediums and ALL skill levels, not quality, EXPOSURE. This I read first hand in a news article on here (from one of the DD featuring affiliates themselves), of which I wish I had bookmarked so I could give you a link.
