Description
This would affect the climate a bit probablyLore:
The British had developed the nuclear bomb to a great extent, being able to move continents with it. Seeing their empire falling apart, the British propose a union with Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, and they all agree, and 15 continental moving nuclear bombs are created. 6 of them are used on Australia, 4 on New Zealand, 3 on Great Britain, and 2 on Ireland. The Irish were not informed of the operation, and found themselves transported across the Atlantic against their will.
Australia's name was changed to Borealia, due to not being located in the Southern Hemisphere. A new flag was given to Australia and New Zealand, as both of their flags depicted the Southern Cross, which is only found in the Southern Hemisphere.
Quebec was made into it's own part of the Union, and Canada changed their capital to Winnipeg. Newfoundland and Labrador were also made into a special part of the Union, and the Maritimes were annexed into Quebec. The Arctic Territories are a special administrative region of the Union.
A bit of land was destroyed following the movement. The smaller islands such as Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man were too small to have a nuclear bomb used on them, and were unfortunately flooded and sank into the ocean. The British government did evacuate all citizens from these islands, although they forgot the Isle of Wight. Bermuda was also evacuated before it was uncerimoniously crushed by Australia. A new city was created in it's honor.
Seeing the power of Britain, other nations began to panic. The US changed their capital to St. Louis, and Western Europe united. Every nuclear power also began to develop such weapons for "defensive" purposes.
With the landmasses in the middle of the Atlantic, weather patterns began to shift. Southern Australia became more tropical, while Australia overall became less arid and more suptropical, similar to the Southern United States. Scotland, Ireland, and New Zealand's North Island became much cooler overall, as cold winds from the Arctic directly impacted them. Similarly, Europe became much cooler overall. As the Gulf Stream is blocked by the landmasses, Europe overall has become very cold during wintertimes, similar temperatures to Northern Canada.
