Very quick sketch of Kievan Rus' during the Mongol invasion.Even when he was knocked from his horse, he tried to fight on in the snow. But the infighting within meant his limbs just wouldn't work...

And that's when the kingdom fell and the Monarchy was brutally slaughtered by both the Mongol's and the Moscovite tribes. Almost no one in that time could stop them! The Hutzel's only won in the Karpati when Gengis Khan's successor broke the Mongol forces into 2 seperate half's! (Big mistake!)
If they didn't do that, I bet almost no one in Europe could have stood a chance against them and all the kingdoms of Europe would fall to their forces!
The rest of Europe only got half the brunt of the Mongolian forces! So I ask you people please give this country's/kingdom's people's of decent some decent respect!

Well, to be fair the Mongol invasions probably worked the same way the Germanic invasions did on Western Rome. The states of Kievan Rus' had been declining for some time due to a number of factors (like economic issues and political infighting). However, I do agree that the rest of Europe would have probably had more trouble fighting them off if it weren't for the forces splitting.

I really only have down Scandinavia's human name (Erik). He would probably change this sharpish when he became Rus', so maybe something like Rurik (which is an obvious one) or Vadik.
If you want to use him in a fic, please go right ahead! However, I will ask that I get at least some mention /credit for him, and that you do your best to keep him as in character (and historically accurate) as possible.

as for keeping him in character, if u mean keeping him a crybaby then that's easy, since i can make even russia a crybaby

Vadik is just peachy.
If it's an AU, you don't need to worry about the history so much, but Kievan Rus' is not that big a cry baby - he's softly spoken and is easily moved, but still has something of a temper on him.
