Description Don't know exactly why, but some months ago ,my love for The Legend of Zelda resurged magnificently... and it was just like... one day I woke up and realized that I totally loved the series, pfff.... totally random, no specific reason, no excitement for a new Zelda game or news, I don't know... it just got into me.


So I decided to play the games once again (and some that I never played before). I planned to play them following the "official" chronological order so maybe it could make more sense, but I realized that in the end it really doesn't matter. I still have some troubles with Skyward Sword being the first, but after reading the manga that comes with Hyrule Historia, I liked the story of that game more.

With work (and other things) taking much of my time, I have just beaten 3 games so far in 3 months. SkywardSword, Twilight Princess and Minish Cap. I'm playing Spirits Tracks now , and I'm totally lovin' it (haven't played it before). IMO better than Phantom Hourglass. Will play Ocarina and Majoras afterwards. Also planning to get a WiiU entirely just for WindWaker HD and the next Zelda game. (And Metroid, if any) and then the older ones.


So yeah...

here is a speedpainting I made in my free time, my take on the classic OoT mini boss fight (should've been a boss),I hope to continue with these as a kind of project of mine, so more will come.

Next one will be a Skyward Sword based one.

EDIT: Might redraw some parts of the pic later, I'm seeing some flaws I didn't catch before...

Dude everything about this picture is amazing! You really brought me back to the good old days playing Ocarina of Time on my N64. It really captures the battle he had with himself. (my all time favorite fight out of all the games because if you didn't have the giant sword it took some real skill to beat) I think this is the best rendition of Dark Link I've ever seen! You've inspired me to go play the game through again for some cherished memories. I applaud your work Sir!

That is the awesomest story. They're just such great games! Haha, I went on a shopping binge earlier this year because I wanted to play some that I never had.... but I'm still working through OoT3D and reading Hyrule Historia. XD

This picture is so gorgeous. I love that you've got the two Links in these perfect symmetrical stances as they step away from each other.... 'cause it's right when Link passes that tree that Dark Link enters the room isn't it!

Oh my gosh, and the dark creeping evil kind of steaming and billowing off of Dark Link there is so spooky.... like he's still coalescing from whatever evil powers he came from. And ha on the other side I can just make out Navi over there by Link. Like each has his own little upsets to the symmetry.

Also the lighting is just gorgeous. And I'm loving the colors in the clouds and the water.... and the delicious textures of each.... This room is so creepy and awesome. Just beautiful. ..... Haha and for some reason I'm totally fixated on Dark Link's boot.... There's a lot of powerful contrast in this picture. The boot, the ripples, the sword and shield, the chain mail.... I just love all the lighting in this.

Just cool. Just amazing all over. Thank you for posting this.
