For artwork based off of something like Pokemon, this looks like an amazingly-done painting. I just love the way you made the forest look. The grass and flowers also look very well done and the details are put in rather well.
As for the characters, I honestly didn't really recognize Red there. The thing I've noticed with certain Pokemon artwork is that they try and make Red look a bit darker, or they give him a more realistic figure when you compare the fanart to Ken Sugimori's artwork. Not that I have a problem with it, I've just been seeing it a lot. I've also noticed that they try and portray Red as a cool and collected character than how he acts in the Pokemon Adventures manga. I see some of the cool personality in him, but this is just showing him in the forest. Mew, however, is an interesting addition to this picture. The fact that Mew's behind him makes me wonder if he had already caught Mew or is it just a curious Mew? I'm just gonna say that it's hanging around with him. Either way, I enjoy this picture and you did a fantastic job with this piece.

This is absolutely incredible.
The scene painted - the colours, textures, the shimmering effect on Mew. It's perfect.
Love the forced perspective on the trees to get that depth of the forest. It's incredible.

omygoodness, this looks fantastic so far! *O* the light and colors are so beautiful, so many gorgeous details in the tree branches and leaves and everything. ahhh the background is just so lovely! wonderful atmosphere that you've created in the pic as well.
