I made this piece for the reader art section(FXPose) of ImagineFX magazine. It should be in issue 65, along with one or two of my other paintings.Photoshop CS4

It opens the imagination of the future of robotics. I immediately got many science fiction plots that this picture could fit into. You did an amazing job with the construction and shading of this piece. Excellent job!

how did you get such detailed metal stains like that on the ground. It must have taken you forever.

Actually the texture on the floor didn't take very long to paint compared to most parts of the painting. I just overlayed a metal like texture on the floor and then hand painted one more layer of highlights on top of that. It was pretty quick.
