Y'know when a movie's getting too intense/scary for your taste, how sometimes you psych yourself out by thinking, "Oh, these are just a bunch of actors - this isn't really that scary. As soon as they finished recording this scene when the little kid gets eviscerated, all the actors stood up and laughed at one another; everything's good... everything's... all good." Or something to that affect? If you get my meaning.Anyway, I had a hard time coping with FMAB Envy's death. I admit I shed five tears at his dying gasp.
So. To cope with the grief I'm experiencing.

...that he was just an actor. Playing a role. In an animated show.
See? See, he didn't get incinerated by Mustang and deliver upon himself a killing blow - he's - he's right there. Alive. *shiver shiver* He's - he's alive.
Well, I hope you find this as funny as I did... Maybe I'm the only one who gets it... |D But even if you don't, it doesn't really matter, 'cause I sorta made this for myself. |D

But seriously, Envy's death was so sad! I loved him as a character, and I think he did deserved to die, but still IT WAS SO FREAKING SAD D:

Oh man - did he EVER deserve to die! He had to be one of the most cravenly evil out of all the homunculi (except for maybe Pride) - but - the fact that his reason - the reason that he crusaded to destroy humans and their relationships - was because he ENVIED them - SO heart breaking! ;n;
It was so sad. :c I just - I just was rewatching the scene over and over, trying to figure out if Envy'd accepted redemption/came to peace before he died, with his either serious or sarcastic, "Goodbye, Edward Elric," final gasp... I can't tell! 8C But - I think that was the first time he'd actually called Ed by his real name insteada Pipsqueek. c: Oh! The feels!

So true! He probably caused the most harm to everybody in the whole series than anybody! YES someone who understands me! His envy (Envy's envy lol) of people finding strength in each other and their tenacity, things we take for granted, was something he would never have. And that was really sad :c
I'd thought Envy would go down laughing and unrepentant, kinda like Greed, but he actually died out of the fear of shame and humiliation, so he took it the easy way out and chose his own end instead of being killed by humans.
And with that tear in his eye when he said that! D:

Seriously β heβs like one of those pitiable wretch characters β like Gollum. Gollumβs quite felt for by a lot of LotR fans, though heβs rather loathesome, as Envy is β and who knows if he recognized his folly in the end? Man. His death. That little dude. ;c MAN. Heβs gotta be easily one of the most complex characters on the show.
