ISO 800 - (i won't lie, this was a mistake, my nose/cheeck has a habit of hitting the ISO button and setting it one up or down. it was surposed to be at 400

The composition is pretty good! Just one regret: that the tail of the helicopter is partly hidden by the helmet of the soldier. Had the machine been a little higher up or more to the left side, it would have been perfect ^^

It Was sooo dam hard to judge when to press and too soon and i miss the cohesion of the pic, too late and i get a brick in my cam! lol

Haha, you can totally tell it was their first time, the one near the left covering his ears, while the soldiers are just like yeah, another day, haha! Great shot! And totally worth the DD

I have another to post, its simmilar in compesition but a little closer to the helicopter with the soldiers faceing away from the on comming wave of dust. I copt a stone in my cam and broke to uv filter on that pic!! lol

Yeah, I went through your gallery and saw another one with the dust as well, really good shots.

its pretty cool, i like the realistic military shots, honestly i try to avoid filling my gallery with military shots too, but sometimes you just get a really great shot hehe. i have a couple of the a-10's at osan air base korea. and some random other shots.
i really like the b+w with the contrast, nice touch, makes it look really hot

Great journalitic shot, gripping subject matter, well composed and I love the vignette effect, it really boosts the contrast levels.

ive been stuck on the same camp for months i jumped at the oppotunity to shoot this when they came here!!!
im glad it came out so good....I've been working on shooting realy high contrast pics by massivly over exposing then recovering it in post processing.
Im hopfully gonna do some more...as soon as something good happens here again

I'm not sure how that process works but it came out amazing. Everything looks so sharp and real. I'm an American with a lot of pride for the country and it's military and I enjoy these military shots. Really good shot though, gives you a feeling of the moment.

I'm stuck on this same bland camp 80% of the time so heli training was all VERy exciting
