amazing shot, im joining after summer, but how do you get to be an army photographer? ive looked at the site and they said you had to at least be an NCO, do you sign up?

I'm not actually employed as a photographer in the army, although i have looked a little into transferring. as far as i know though you may be correct in one manor, in that you almost definitely have to have been in the army a little while already, weather or not you have to have been promoted to a Junior NCO rank before you can transfer i couldn't say. All i know is that the trade is part of the Royal Logistics Corps (RLC), the training course is around 1 year long, there are fairly few spaces and promotion is slow. however if its something you enjoy then theres no substitute and very few other jobs which offer such wide opportunities to take great photo's!

well i did a read up on the original model of it a while ago and im pretty sure it said it couldnt be left hand converted. not like a civilian could get his hands on that weapon here anyway

What I meant was that it was used to shoot people in my country so I don't really want to get in to a lengthy talk about how good or bad a weapon it is. My fault for mentioning it's most obvious flaws in the first place, I guess.

No worries, I have relatives who have served in the British Army - it's a silly thing to get in to over a simple assault rifle

Maybe I'm American, but I think those guys deserve respect just like ours do.
God bless every soldier fighting for our freedom, whatever their nationality.

Great shot. I remember teaching the same skills to Korean Soldiers. One didn't pay attention till the rocks started flying. Grats on the Daily Deviation.

Nice. Make sure you back up everything. I have been home from Iraq for just over two years now, and have lost about 90% of my photos to computer issues.
