Description
Damn, i was hoping to do something new and unusual, but i'm not happy of the outcome...Those damn nebulas are really pain in my ass, tried to mix some techniques but it came up a lil bit messy...
But i really like planets and title
Rest is... ehm...
Can someone help me with those nebulas?
I just don't have more ideas where should i search for any clues...

You have to train and train, and do a lot of experiments so you can know almost everything about that program
I was learning with tutorials or so

Is this supposed to be Arrakis from the Herbert's Dune: Children of the Dune or the title is accidentally similar?
Nice art, and nice nebulas but what do I know about them since I don't do space art

R3V4N In reply to l1nk32167 [2008-08-26 07:44:49 +0000 UTC]
I must say I didn't see a movie or anything
That picture just was in my mind for a long time, sand and bright galaxy, and then I've remind myself that title 'Children of Dune', and here it is
Nah, you don't have to do space art to know anything about that work
I mean, I'm trying to do it as realistic as I can, but sometimes it is of course for pure art

Ever try incorporating fractals into your nebula?

R3V4N In reply to aChiLdFoRsAkeN [2008-05-19 13:44:31 +0000 UTC]
I tried, for example Rage unleashed
But it don't look too realistic imo.

aChiLdFoRsAkeN In reply to R3V4N [2008-05-19 23:27:32 +0000 UTC]
I see. Perhaps using more of a blend? "Rage" seems like maybe 90% fractal. How about 50% fractal, 50% traditional brushing - make it hard for folks to tell exactly how you made it.

I'll try
Maybe it is not bad idea to mix them more.
Here i've used fractals and brushes, but too much :/

yeap.. once again almost all viewers speak in polish and i cannot understand a thing
it`s very beautifull tom and it has a specific quality that makes the planet unique, great job !
"It is hard to explain the various land forms on Denera, mostly because each element seems to contradict with another creating thus neverending misteries and many questions related to the denerian lands.Great mountains surrounded by deep and cold voids, huge plateaus filled with dunes and big rocks, old valleys that are harbour rare minerals ... and the wonders don`t seem to stop here.
Great misteries surrounds Denera, as to whom will uravel them is still unknown."
A "demo" of the description that I`ll use for your planet in Caellestia

R3V4N In reply to Anekeen [2008-05-19 13:47:10 +0000 UTC]
It is great
Don't worry, most of polish comments here don't say anything special about that work, just few of them contain some clues
Do you want to write discription dor every planet then?
π: 0 β©: 1
Anekeen In reply to R3V4N [2008-05-19 14:15:32 +0000 UTC]
Well every type of planet will have a short story, a description of the lands , vegetation and stuff ... how is the name Denera ? i made a mix with from une and tried somethinbg that "sounds" as a giant desert

the nebulas give it a very chaotic feel, before reading your comments i thought it was genius as Arrakis it a very chaotic planet and it was a great testament to that so i think you should keep it. im not liking the line that runs across the painting though, the glare type thing, it just feels forced on an otherwise brilliant piece.

It's too much like your old style - keep them simple, like in that other piece... Right now this is too messy, really, and the colours are too much like a gradient map to look nice. Keep them like in your other piece (can't remember the name) - I liked that one - and keep them simple, too. Very often less is more with space art...
