I had originally planned to colour the line art in a cell shaded style, but what I've discovered is that I can't cell shade to save my life. I'm going to have to work on that...Anyway I ended up adopting a slightly more realistic colouring style which although nice and fun to do, doesn't fit with the line art very well. I ended up having to rub out some lines just so it doesn't look stupid. It was a useful little excercise to do, I'm a little closer to finding a colouring style that I'm comfortable with. Hope you like it.

It's phenomenal to see how that simple line work (which is still really good) and turn into something this amazing. You're so talented. Everything here is just so eye-cacthing and smooth. Truly amazing.

This piece is hilarious, i love the cartoony feel, and i think the colouring style suits it. if it was any closer to real life, then it would seem odd.

okay. the coloring on this is awesome. make no mistake about that. but something about it...irritates the SHIT out of me. maybe it's the brown mountains, or the red character..i dunno. but something about it makes it not my favorite...

I suspect it's the lack of depth in the picture combined with the slightly tacky colours ^^ I could have done with a bit more blurring of the background, and yes the brown rocks are kinda horrible

CANT CEL SHADE! Well if your having trouble making mistakes, make a layer 30%, opacity, Colour overlay (black) then use the penvil tool and eraser for it then blur a little. That should help ^^
