Adventure Time ended after ten seasons spanning eight years.
I love this series so much and have enjoyed coming back to it over and over from the day it first aired. I rewatched the whole series front to back in preparation for the finale and I'm so glad I did, I caught so many tiny details I would have completely missed without this refresher.
I had to draw some kind of fan art for this series I love so much. Bubbline? Favorite characters like Death, the Lich, Lemongrab or Prismo? Some tried and true Finn and Jake? No, it's gotta be this thing lol.
I just... I really loved that finale a ton!! I think Golb appearing in the very end was so fitting. Its presence has been felt since the Lich's very first appearance, in a variety of subtle ways Golb's been the main antagonist from the very start. But it's not defeated or killed, it's changed. It grows. Literally, metaphorically, it gains something new, it is broadened. It's probably not so malevolent anymore.
Everything stays, but it still changes.
The series stayed so true to itself right up to the very last frame.

Cool picture of GOLB. His finger on his mouth reminds me of when The Lich shushed Finn and Jake in their first encounter.

Yesss! Exactly what I was going for haha, I'm stoked you thought that! I feel like there's so many parallels between the Lich and GOLB. The Lich even refers to himself as 'the last scholar of GOLB.' The eldritch things in the series always captured my attention the most, they're so fascinating and really well written, I love it.

I haven't actually started Adventure Time yet (though it's on my to do list), but htis looks freakin' cool. And your lighting/showdows/details are good for the eyes too. :U

Hehe aaa thank you! Oh man I highly recommend Adventure Time, it is so good. It starts so silly and aimless and then gradually crystallizes into an amazing series. It does parallelism and cycles so well. And the characters become really complex while it also stays really funny haha
