The only point is that you and Esther gave me a hell of a job finding a propper list for that size of painting.

Dank je! Het was eigenlijk een hele eer dat Esther me vroeg het me te maken. Ik heb er heeel lang over gedaan...gelukkig had Esther een engelen geduld.
Het vreemde formaat is echt helemaal mijn schuld. Als ik teken, wil ik me niet laten beperken door afmeting of formaat. En deze vroeg gewoon om een lang, hoog kader. Sorry....ik heb er helemaal niet aangedacht dat het een onmogelijk formaat is voor een lijst.

I really like it but I do think the arm is a but unnatural while holding a sword like that.
And I think you may have wanted to have made that pink colour of the skirt on the back a bit darker... its foregrounding now where it should be behind her legs... visually speaking

Do you mean with the arm that it is anatomically incorrect or that itΒ΄s just an unrealistic way to hold a sword? The sword is too heavy to hold it in such a manner, but I did draw it on purpose that way to give a bit more elegance to the pose.
The skirt could indeed have some more shading...it was the last thing I had to paint and a was a little afraid to spoil it by making it to dark. I will hold this in mind with my next painting.

Actually about the arm, both really I think you could hold something like that, but not something as heavy but also it just looks really uncomfortable, instead of ultimate elegance. But that might just be me.
Im glad you agree on me with the skirt, don't be afraid to use a little more dark colours, it always worked out for moonowl
