True connoisseurs of that strange philosophy that is aesthetics always take some time to savor these moments of domestic cosiness, where the true beauty, both internal and external, of your loved ones finally surfaces in all its glory. And Goliath is of course the smoothest aesthete of them all. Having the voice of Keith David is not devoid of other advantages, after all.
Joking aside, Gargoyles was an animated series that left an indelible mark on my childhood and to this day it's one of the very, very few that my adult self can still watch and enjoy just as I did so many years ago, like nothing changed. When I was presented with the request to draw its golden couple I jumped at the opportunity and I hope that the original intent of showing Goliath doing what he's currently doing in an endearing rather than creepy light (the true specialty of the show, in many ways) was achieved. It must be said that I doubt Elisa would mind anyway. She didn't leave that shutter open just because, I suppose.

Yep, the kind of stalker that would be attracted like a moth to the flame by a rolling shutter "accidentally" left half-down -- at the last floor of a tall building. That should restrict the field of possible suspects, at least.

I remember watching this growing up, you did a great job capturing the spirit of the show.

I must admit that the "comic book-like feel" is often what I aim for in my pieces, since my passion for drawing probably started developing when I first took a comic book in my hand at the tender age of 2 and a half. Years of exposure to the work of the great comic artists from all over the world did the rest.
A part of the credit is due to my "client" thomasfrend, who, as a great fan of the show, knows very well that a combination of creepy and endearing is responsible for nearly 90% of the charm of Gargoyles. And managing to capture the right facial expression for Goliath was the most delicate part, since the whole set-up, down to the characters' emotions, hinged on that detail.

First let me say THANK YOU! This far and away exceeds anything I'd had in mind, and I didn't even have this one in mind very much at all. Elisa is such a neglected character, and you've completely nailed the art style of the show. She looks great, and I'm very much impressed (again) by how you achieved the dusky tone of her skin and the lighter, but still clearly tannish tone of her long beautiful soles with just pencils 
Maybe a bit random, but you really caught what I envisioned for Goliath's presence here. He looks endearing and like the world’s most-stalkeresque anthropomorphic statue, which is how it should be. For anyone not familiar with the show, it would look hilariously disturbing, but for anyone that enjoyed it, we know there’s a sort of…”cuteness” about that, and I've always felt that was in some ways canon, as you noted in the description the show conveyed so well. I don't think there's ever an occasion for me not to say say so, but excellent work once again!
