Some more cloisonne pins from my collection.This time it's a grouping of classic movie & TV robots.
From left to right we have
Maria from the silent film Metropolis.
Gort from the original The Day The Earth Stood Still
Robbie from Forbidden Planet
And The Robot from the original TV show Lost In Space.
Interesting fact is that Robbie and the Lost In Space Robot are related and both were created by the same person.

The Lost in Space robot was identified in on the show as a "Model B-9 Environment Control" robot. Despite the designation, it was probably intended to be more of a ground bound environmental probe. As shown in the "Island in the Sky" episode.

Info on a classic pop figure is always cool.
And BTW, Robbie and B-9 have a forgotten older brother.
The same designer's first movie robot was Tobor from the film Tobor the Great.
