We walked with bare feet on the beach, we ran around and splashed water at each other and watched little baby crabs trying to hide under pebbles. At one point, sweet Kira drew a beautiful creature with wings for me. This was so amazing, creative and definitely a surprise. Thank you Kira.

Before we knew it, the sun had started to set. I knew just the place to go and watch the sunset. Behind the old weathered fence, we sat on a rock and watched the sun go down. It was like the sun had put on a show just for us. It was nearly blinding but we happened to have sunglasses with us. I am sure you need sunglasses to look at it too. We saw the gorgeous sunrise in the morning and after a beautiful day of being blessed by the miracle of life and nature on this planet, we got to see the glorious sunset.

It has a nostalgic and time passage feel to it.

Kira suggested we should stay and watch the stars and the northern lights after dark, Excellent idea. I said but in my mind I knew that even though we could expect to see stars, there wasn't going to be any northern lights. Northern lights just don't happen here. However, I thought of the next best thing. I sent a quick text to a good friend who owed me a favor and he replied sure, 10 PM sharp will be fine.
